corona lockdown day 123 and 124

On Monday at 3am there was a big storm that must have awoken much of Kingston. I never got back to sleep. So I was pretty tired for the day. There was a load of laundry that took me 3 days to dry. I hung it downstairs on Sunday as it had been rainy in the afternoon. Then I put it out on Monday. Then it rained. I took it back in. Then put it out. Then it rained. I took it back in. Then today I put it out again. Then it hailed. So I took it back in. Put it out again thankfully for the last time and it was dry.

Today James and I biked to the Land Registry office to try to look for the survey for the house. It is a service Ontario location so there were a number of people in line for many different things. I  got in line at 11:30. It didn't move much except for people giving up. At 11:50 the security guard gave out "line skip" tickets for an appointment at 1:30. However, the sign said that the land registry office closed at noon. I asked the security guard and he said he said that the signs needed to be updated so I decided to still wait since we had biked out and wouldn't be back at 1:30. They take people with appointment tickets first but if there are none then they go to the line so the line doesn't really go down. At 12:10 the guy behind me in line texted his niece who works there and he asked if anyone was working there! Then for me he asked about the 12 noon closing and the niece confirmed that it did close at 12 noon. So I thanked him and I left. After I was unlocking my bike another lady came out of the office to do some crown control and answer other questions.

After that James and I did some biking on the K&P trail and then James took me on the back roads. He used maps and had good instincts to get us home.
