What does a resolved case mean?

corona lockdown day 139

When I woke up the sky was a brilliant red. I guess not good for sailors? It was overcast and rainy at the start. I biked to metro and picked up some more of my lemonade. The sun came out after a bit and it turned into a very good laundry drying day. I had a lot of meetings but I think I have sorted some things out more or less in terms of things that I had questions about that were holding me up. My chef's plate box did end up arriving after all! They just had a website quirk that said it wasn't coming so I was pleased. It was a turkey panzella salad which was pretty easy and very tasty. The baby bunny spent a lot of time in our backyard tonight.

corona lockdown day 138

I didn't sleep much last night as I went to bed late. I think the timetable is in better shape now. I got up early as I had things to get sorted in the morning before my meetings started. I had meetings nonstop from 8:30-2. Then tried to get some work done. Made chicken in the slow cooker from the frozen box. It was very good. James and I went biking in the evening then he went an played ball hockey with the Baron twins who are his bubble.

corona lockdown day 137

Woke at 6am and got ready for the day. Biked to Rustle before church to pick up offerings. Spent the day dealing with emails and problems and not making much progress. At lunch James and I biked downtown. I dropped off the old modem to send back to Bell. Then we went to Canada Post where James identified himself so his bank account can soon be active. The next step he needed to mail in his signature card so soon his account will be active. Then I put in the Rustle deposit and we biked back home the long way.

For dinner I made hamburgers again from the frozen box.

Then I biked around while James played ball hockey. I ran into Sarah and had a distanced chat with her.

I logged into my chef's plate and found that my order for Wednesday had been wiped as they seem to have all new layout so that made me sad and now I need to do some thinking for the week. More thinking than I may be capable of right now. Lots of meetings tomorrow!

corona lockdown day 136

Yesterday I did get a lot of laundry and dishes done (which I consider "maintenance") but did not get much done to get ahead of other things (except mowing the lawn).

I did make a nice pasta sauce with the frozen meatballs for dinner from the frozen box and a package of coloured peppers.

Today I went to Loblaws- arrived at 8:04am. There were not many people except in the produce section, which seemed rather full. I got most things I needed. They were still out of my lemonade.
I was out of juice and fruit so I was successful there. And even a package of toilet paper! They didn't have much in terms of meat so I was once again pleased with my froen box.

Then I biked to Metro. Arriving at 9:04am They did have a package (6 cans) on my lemonade and even had James' juice on sale. As I was biking I was not able to pick up too much.

Then I washed the back steps in preparation for another coat of stain. I also washed the outside doors. The Windows need a good wash as well but I am waiting for the heat to die down.

Then at 10am I watched the Northend Church in St. C. 11am Rustle and after Rustle I watched the end of the Elevation church stream.

I made lunch, then tried to tackle some of my email. Still lots to do tonight. Going to try to make hamburgers from the frozen box for dinner.

corona lockdown day 135

I had a good sleep last night. I went to the Dollar store and picked up a waterbottle holder for James' bike. Then went to Shoppers. There were still many empty shelves. I wonder if they are having difficulty keeping things stocked rather than people buying a lot in the morning.
It seems like a good laundry drying day.
I also mowed the front lawn and discovered wasps like things making a home in the wall. That will need a spray tonight.
Going to try to make dinner for James now and remember to switch it on!

corona lockdown day 134

Today ended up being a very frustrating day so I am looking forward to sleep and starting again tomorrow.
The timetable came out today and had problems. Like course conflicts so not viable. The tool that I use to update the websites was also down. I set up James' dinner in the slow cooker but I forgot to turn it on so I had to throw it out. I made a chef's plate and it was pretty spicy so it irritated my stomach a bit. James had a skate in Ottawa and when cleaning up his skate sliced his thumb open. So I had to clean up his jersey that was covered in blood. Hoping tomorrow is better!

corona lockdown day 133

Got up early to take a jog. Made it further than I thought I would. Full day of meetings. James and I biked after work. Made a chef's plate pork meatloaf with potatoes and broccoli (though the picture had green beans). Laundry dried before the rain. No painting because of the rain. I found someone to do the survey and they will come in 10-15 days. The internet keeps cutting out once a day so will need to call Bell again.

corona lockdown day 132

I woke up at 6am in order to prepare for a Loblaws trip before work. We were out of juice. It was not busy and I made it in and out quickly. Today was a day with many meetings. It was not a super sunny day but I did get some laundry hung before the rain came. Because of the rain I was not able to put another coat on the back porch. The bunny seems to be enjoying the backyard. We are going to have to get a land survey done. This will be useful if the house needs to be sold in the future so it is all good.

After 1 coat of stain:

Tigerlily yesterday

Chicken parmesen
It was tasty!
After a second coat

Tiger lily today

Caterpillar babies in a bag?

Pom poms (some of them got stain on them)
Bush reaching for the sun

corona lockdown day 131

Today I tackled transfer students (not literally). Wrote lots of emails. Stayed concerned about the timetable. Made schnitzel again from the frozen box. I  thought it was better cooked than last time but not all agreed. Put another coat of stain on the back deck. It is looking better.

corona lockdown day 130

My adventure for the day was a visit to the bank. I have not been to my bank since the start of the pandemic. I have been to Rustle's bank which is easy-peasy. They have 2 bank machines in their little vestibule and there has never been anyone in the vestibule when I have arrived so I am able to quickly go in and make the deposit. However my bank is a larger bank and has a larger vestibule. Interestingly I have never seen so many people in the vestibule before. The sign on the door says 5 people max, but what it means is 5 people in the vestibule waiting area. The 5 spots are carefully marked 1,2,3,4,5. These are people either waiting for tellers or for the bank machine. There were also 2 people at the bank machines. And there were 3 people directing traffic. This made for a total of 10 people in the vestibule. At any rate I successfully used the bank machine.

I made lemon chicken again for dinner.

In the evening I worked on staining the back porch.

My tiger lily opened today!

corona lockdown day 129

Did you know that bikes can go through drive throughs? Yesterday James and I biked out to KFC because he had a craving for popcorn chicken. I thought the take out would be open as many other places have take out going but this was not the fact- only the drive through was open. The KFC was not busy so I didn't need to worry about being run over!

Today I went to Giant Tiger. They for the first time had a "greeter" who welcomed me to the store and pointed out the hand sanitizer and let me know that the baskets had been sanitized. I got some needed groceries and socks for James.

I also biked to the other shoppers to see if they had my lemonade. They did not.

At 10 I watched the Northend Church and at 11 Rustle. They were both talking about thanksgiving and having a good attitude in difficult times.

In the afternoon I worked on scraping and sanding the back porch, skyped with my parents, vacuumed downstairs and cleaned the bathroom and hung new shower curtains.

In the evening I made lemon chicken from the frozen box.

Then I watched elevation Church service about lonely places.

Tomorrow I have a lot of meetings! I also have to get a tax document done for Rustle and work on sending back our old modem to Bell as they sent a new one.

A tiger lily starting to come out

corona lockdown day 128

Today I got up around 7am, baby bunny was eating the leaves of the rose bush again. They must be really tasty. I got the first load of laundry out. I am aiming for 3 loads today. I went to Shoppers around 9:30am and most of their shelves of sales were already bare. It is like a whole herd of people come in right when the store opens and clears everything out. So I didn't get my lemonade as it was all out. Thomas the cashier saw my CR shirt and told me that he goes to Parkview Church in Amherstview.
I then put out another load of laundry and washed the dishes.
I have a number of options for the afternoon- cleaning the bathroom, ironing, preparing the back porch for painting- so exciting!

corona lockdown day 127

Today I headed off early to Loblaws and that all seemed to go ok. Things are busy at work as I prepare to load students into a non existent timetable. For dinner had a chef's plate Thai beef green curry- it was very yummy. I downloaded all the photos from my phone so I have a lot of pictures today. After dinner James and I went for a 90 minute bike ride!

Some pictures from a walk in the oak street garden a while back:

Pictures from the rain

Beef Bolognese- a staple

Penang turkey curry- there have been a few variations of this, all good!

Chipotle cauliflower burrito bowls- they have quite a few cauliflower dishes. I never knew it was so versatile before.

This was a pasta meal that I made with frozen meatballs from my box
James biking

Turkish beef Kofta- it looked a bit like hardened dog poo but tasted amazing

New frozen box!
Souvlaki style pork chops- I found the meat a bit tough, but overall was still good. I guess I forgot to take an "after" picture.
Mexican chickpea glow bowl. It made your stomach glow with happiness! They also do a lot of chickpea meals. Also more versatile than I thought.

One star strawberry

New kitchen cupboard at Rustle- I needed to take the picture for the insurance company

Warm pesto chickpea salad with focaccia bread- that was especially good-made from pizza dough

Turkey Florentine meatloaf- very hearty

Todays Thai beef green curry
