While I spent most of the day online with various services, I did make it down to the water. I saw some white bits on the water that at first I thought was some sort of garbage but then I realized that they were alive. They seemed to be ducks who were mostly under the water. I hadn't seen them before. I only saw one other person by the water and while I was looking at the ducks (or trying to look as the case was as they were difficult to see being out in the lake and mostly underwater) she came over and said hello to me and I asked her if she knew what they were. It turned out that she knew quite a lot and as she lived alone because of covid she didn't have many people to talk to so she was happy to talk to me. Apparently they are long tailed ducks:
I really only saw the heads but I heard them talking and they were quite interesting.
I went to shoppers in the morning to pick up more supplies. It was pretty empty. I watched the end of the elevation service, then the rustle service, then a video a friend sent me, then rustle had a special workshop on mental health, then the university age students put on a praise and power evening of music.
It was rainy most of the day but my walks were in breaks (unplanned but that is how it worked out)
Tomorrow is back to meetings and emails.
