Woke up at 7:50am. It was even colder than yesterday but still went for the jog and that went ok. After 9am I went to Shoppers. This was actually the least "different" of all the places that I have visited in the pandemic. There was a hand sanitizing station at the start but no security, no lines, most things were a typical Sat morning. They did not have a lot of things though. There were shelves and shelves that were empty so I couldn't get many of the things on my list. But they did have pop and toilet paper, so there is that.
I saw Taylor Ann and Ebe there getting things ready for the Rustle lunch program. There aren't a lot of food programs on the weekend so Rustle has been handing out lunch on Saturday and Sunday. Pine Grove Church has been helping with the cooking because they have a full kitchen but Rustlers have been doing the hand out. I think they have masks to look official as well.
Many Rustlers have had an increase in funds from the government so are doing better than usual but there are many people in the neighbourhood that still need help.
I meant to comment on construction from the last time I was downtown. There are 4 major construction sites on Princess St. and they were all working in some manner. Maybe they had less people there but that was hard to tell.
