Changing weather

Today the forecast said the precipitation would begin at 9am. I left the house at 8am and it started precipitating. Within 10 minutes, things were pretty slippery on the sidewalk. The roads were good so I walked on them when I could.

On the way home things were slushy and so I had to walk home with wet feet.

Very different boots were needed at the start of the day than the end of the day.

I did some shoveling in the night trying to clear things off before the flash freeze, we'll see if it was helpful or not tomorrow.

heavy snow

My computer said it was heavy snow but nothing was going on. We'll see what things look like in the morning.

I made it through all of the projects for review, so that is good. I need to do the second course tomorrow.

Tomorrow we have our small group at Sarah's.

Bunny tunnels

I have been seeing a bunny in the backyard by the shed, eating a little bit of the greens through the snow. One time when I was looking at the bunny it went into the snowbank and I was thinking it had a home in the snowbank but then it popped out the other side and I realized it was a tunnel! Today the bunny was again sitting at the entrance to the "tunnel" so I think is quite pleased that there is a place to go if there is danger from above.

I cleared some more ice from the driveway. Hopefully not more is deposited this week!

Walking in the dark

I forgot to mention on the way home from Sarah's it was dark. Maybe I tried to forget this part as I was walking down Drayton on the way home, I encountered a lady. I encountered her because she crossed the street and put herself in my path. Drayton is a pretty quiet street and very wide. There is plenty of room for 2 walking people not to encounter each other. But she came directly at me while saying "Don't come at me". I was of course not coming at her, I was heading home, she was coming at me. And she seemed pretty angry, though I did not know what about. Maybe she owned the street, though I have walked it many times and not encountered her. At any rate, she apparently wanted to fight me. I managed to dodge her but she continued to call after me that she would like to fight me.

Today I went to Loblaws, did laundry, ironing and made all of Rustle's charitable receipts. Well, the program made the receipts but I had to sign and package them.

Walking in the light

Walking home today I was so pleased that it was still light!

When I was walking to Sarah's a large brown chunky bird flew over me- maybe it was an owl!

Superb Owl

James hadn't been feeling well yesterday so he slept most of today and then was pretty hungry when he woke up. He let me know that today was super bowl Sunday. I did not know. Superb Owls are more in my range.

It was pretty cold today and all my thermal leggings were in the wash so I decided to wear some thick leggings (Some Calvin Klein ones that I bought years ago at Hudson Bay). They weren't bad but I definitely could tell the difference from a thermal legging. When things are in the -20 or -30 I prefer the thermal clothing.

I went to Rustle in the morning and then have been watching the Elevation service as it is their 20th anniversary and the service is not a real sermon so they aren't posting it but I can watch the "live" online. I watched the 2pm and 5pm and now am watching 8pm. I get interrupted often so I need to watch it a few times to see it all!

Road to recovery

I can pick up things from the floor without pain now!

Last night I was able to shovel snow as it was pretty light and fluffy.

This morning I changed about 8 lightbulbs. I'm planning to head out to Loblaws in the cold weather. I'll bundle up well.

I have lots of finance things to work on for Rustle and much cleaning to do as the injury kept me off much of the things that I need to do to clean!
